Spanish Dance is an original, one-of-a-kind oil painting on stretched canvas (framed).

Spanish Dance is my attempt to capture the many facets of flamenco dance – its passion, energy, beauty, expressiveness, spontaneity and emotional depth.

I have tried to solve the problem of capturing the dynamic movement of flamenco dance by the use of abstracted areas of colour surrounding overlapping parts of dancers.

The use of impasto and a palette knife in most parts of the work contribute to the energy of the piece.

Measuring 24 x 36 inches, it is ready to frame and hang.  I painted the work in 2022; it is signed on the front.
